Privacy Policy

Power is a calendar assistant you use over text message. Reading your calendar and, if you connect it, your inbox is how the product works — so being precise about what we touch matters more to us than a long document. This is the short version, and it is the whole version.

What we collect. Your phone number, so we can text you and know who you are. The messages you exchange with Power, so it can hold a conversation and act on it. Your calendar data from the calendar accounts you connect, so it can answer questions and make changes. Your preferences — your briefing time, your timezone, and how you want email handled. And, if you connect Gmail, the confirmation emails Power scans for events.

What we do with it. We use it to run the service: create and update your events, answer your questions, send your daily briefing, and turn confirmations into calendar entries. We also use aggregate, non-identifying usage measurements to understand whether the product works. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your messages, calendar, or email content to train models unless you explicitly opt in.

Calendar and email access. Calendar and Gmail are authorized separately, and you can revoke either one — by text or from your account settings — without giving up the other. Gmail access is read-only: Power never sends, drafts, deletes, or modifies email. From an email it reads, it extracts only the scheduling-relevant fields it needs to build an event, such as times, places, and confirmation numbers. Emails and documents can contain medical, legal, or financial detail; Power does not surface or summarize that content beyond what the event itself requires.

Who else is involved. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate: a messaging carrier to deliver your texts, cloud hosting and database providers to store your data, a payment processor if you subscribe, and model providers to interpret your messages. They process data on our behalf under contract and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting it. We keep your data while your account is active because the assistant needs history to be useful. Text “delete my data” or “delete my account” at any time and we remove your stored content and confirm in the thread; backups age out shortly after. You can also ask us what we hold on you, and we will tell you.

Power is for adults and is not directed at children under 13. If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. Questions go to privacy@power.app.
